Michael Toth
General Counsel
Michael Toth is the General Counsel at REX. In recent months, Michael has led litigation efforts against the National Association of Realtors and Zillow. He is also leading a complaint against the State of Oregon over the state’s anti-consumer law which prohibits rebates.
More About Michael:
Prior to joining REX, Michael worked as a litigation attorney for the Texas Office of Attorney General and in private practice. In 2018, he was appointed to serve as a judge on the Texas Third Court of Appeals in Austin.
After graduating from law school, Michael served in the United States Marine Corps. He remains active in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and is currently assigned to the Pentagon.
An experienced litigator with trial and appellate experience, Michael served as a law clerk at the federal trial and appellate level for Judge Ursula Ungaro of the Southern District of Florida and Judge Edith H. Jones of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is the author of numerous articles as well as a biography of the early U.S. Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth, which was reviewed in the Wall Street Journal and other publications.
Michael received his undergraduate degree with highest honors from Stanford and a J.D. / M.A. (History) from the University of Virginia.
